One of the original eight rivers established with passage of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968, the Rogue flows 215 miles from its headwaters high in the Cascades near Crater Lake National Park until it enters the Pacific Ocean near Gold Beach, OR. The Rogue River is home to one of the most abundant populations of summer steelhead in the entire Pacific Northwest, while also hosting a strong winter run which establishes the Rogue as a top-tier destination. Its many runs are steeped in history of flyfishing and were made popular in the early 1900's by adventure writer Zane Grey. Floating the river by drift boat provides access to the best steelhead holding water and will give you ample opportunity to link into your piece of history. The dry line swung fly approach is the most nostalgic way to target Rogue River steelhead in summer and fall, but we will use both dryline and sink tips depending on weather and run conditions. Nymphing tactics will give beginner and advanced anglers alike a better shot at encountering more fish on a day to day basis. Whichever is your preferred approach our premier guide experience will provide you with the best of opportunities to landing our beautiful Rogue River steelhead. Steelhead encountered on the rogue are in the 20-34 inch range and will challenge anglers with aerobatic and powerful runs.

Klamath Basin
Williamson/Wood River and Agency/ Upper Klamath Lake
June 10th - October 31st

The Klamath Basin is home to the Great Basin Redband trout. Klamath Lake is extremely rich with food for these Redband Trout leading to rapid growth rates that are among some of the fastest in the nation. These fish are known to grow to massive size and migrate from the lake up these Spring fed rivers in the summer months to seek the cold water temperatures of the Williamson and Wood Rivers. Brown Trout also call these waters home in lesser numbers. Our preferred method for these technical spring fed rivers is slow swinging and stripping streamers but will also have opportunities with dry flies and nymphing tactics. Although most days see good numbers of Redband rainbow trout, this is a trophy trout fishery and we are targeting your true trout of a lifetime. With many trout over 20 inches and they can be up to and surpassing 30 inches and 10 pounds. We do not speak lightly when we say your potential for your true trout of a lifetime exists here.

Non-refundable deposit is required for each day booked upon confirmation. Your deposit will be transferable to another date within the same season based on availability, if cancellation is made two weeks or more from day of your trip. Deposits will be forfeited with cancelation less than 14 days prior to your trip date.

Trip Policy
All trips are for one or two anglers per boat. Included in your trip fee are lunches, cold beverages, all terminal tackle, and rods will be available if needed. Not included in the trip fee are travel expenses to and from the river, fishing license fees, lodging, guide gratuity, any parking fees, or anything not mentioned in the included sentence above.
Fishing license can be purchased online at MYODFW.com or through the MYODFW app. All anglers, regardless of age, must have in possession a valid Rogue-South Coast Steelhead Validation to angle for steelhead in the Rogue-South Coast area from Dec 1 - Apr 30.
